BROWSER EXTENSIONS

The selection box does not appear

Refresh the page, click ScreenCode again, and select the code. Browsers do not allow extensions to capture protected pages such as browser settings, extension stores, or some built-in PDF views. Open the content in a standard webpage or save a screenshot and use the ScreenCode website instead.

The code is not recognized

Include the complete code and a little clear space around it. Avoid cutting off the corner markers. If the code is very small, zoom in before selecting it. Reflections, blur, low contrast, and graphics placed over a code can make it unreadable.

The extension changed after an update

Confirm ScreenCode is enabled in your browser's extension settings and restart the browser. In Chrome or Edge, an unpacked testing build must be reloaded after every update. In Firefox, reload the temporary add-on. In Safari, update or reopen the ScreenCode Mac app.

Report a problem safely

Use the Support contact on ScreenCode's browser-store listing. Include your browser version, operating system, the type of code, and what happened. Never include an authenticator secret, Wi-Fi password, payment value, private contact card, passkey request, or a screenshot containing sensitive information.
